Looking for suggestions on local campgrounds and regional parks? Here are a few fun places we recommend!Eau Galle Dam & Recreation
Eau Galle Dam and Reservoir is a beautiful 150-acre lake located just north of Spring Valley. There are two day use areas, a swimming beach, two boat launches (electric motors only) as well as camping. Hiking trails provide a scenic and relaxing view of the woodlands and wetlands. These trails will lead you to a variety of places from picnic areas and playgrounds to a sandy beach and volleyball courts. It is located just north of Spring Valley, WI.
The Eau Galle Dam was built after multiple, catastrophic flooding of Spring Valley and is one of the largest earthen dams in the midwest. From downtown Spring Valley, if you look to the north, you will see the dam rising high over the town, protecting it from flooding. It's an amazing feat of engineering.
