Honoring one of ours.

It is with great sorrow, yet great pride that we honor fellow guide, Mike Nolen.  Mike, a corporal in the Marines, died June 27 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.  Mike worked at Crystal Cave during the 2007 season prior to entering the Marines.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Mike’s family, Judith and Tim, sisters Christine and Melanie, and little brother Alec.  Our thoughts are with you at this time.

As we celebrate our Country’s independence this weekend, the Staff at Crystal Cave would like everyone to remember all the men and women, currently serving our Country throughout the world, who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
